Saline tattoo removal

Saline tattoo removal is a safe and effective method of lightening unwanted permanent makeup.

Irene is an official Botched Ink ® trained technician. This product has quickly become one of the most sought after saline removal solutions and is only available to trained Botched Ink ® technicians. Botched Ink ® is a Health Canada registered product. It is a saline solution that closely resembles the skins natural pH, meaning that it is gentle on the skin. During the procedure, you will experience a short mild sting towards the end of the treatment. Botched Ink ® quickly dries out the treated area, and any pigment healed into the skin; pigment is then lifted and removed during the skins natural healing process. Botched Ink® causes minimal inflammation or irritation.

FAQs

What can I expect?

Sessions are scheduled six weeks apart at minimum. We closely monitor the integrity of your skin and will adjust accordingly. Giving the skin enough time to heal is important to minimize trauma and improve the overall outcome.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on the amount of pigment needing to be removed and your desired outcome. A complimentary consultation can be booked to discuss this further. We generally tell our clients to commit to 3 sessions minimum.

Is it painful?

The level of discomfort will vary from client to client, however, minimal discomfort is to be expected through the use of numbing anaesthetics. The effectiveness will vary as each client’s body chemistry, and the breakdown of such anaesthetics will differ. Our clients report little to no discomfort. We do our best to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. What do I need to do before and after my appointment?

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

Keep the area completely dry for 48 hours – this is key for achieving the best results. After 48 hours, you may lightly shower. Use the wipe given to you. This will create an ideal healing environment for the treated area and should leave a soft film over the scab for 3 to 4 days. Do not attempt to remove the scab before it naturally heals away from the treated area.

How long is the procedure?

Our typical saline tattoo removal procedures can range from 30 minutes to 1 hour. This includes the application of numbing anaesthetic, removal, and review of aftercare.
